Watercolour Painting Prints

All prints are individually signed and finished with a painted fish. My fish signature developed from swift brush work on extremely porous, unfired ceramic surfaces. Fish decorated pots led to the motive being painted on the base of later work. My first true watercolour 78/79 (slow worker) was signed and 'fished', and that continues to this day on all paintings.

Originally the fish had six elements (two eyes, two fins, body and tail. Over the years there has been a reduction to three strokes - fin, body and tail; though of late, I seem to be adding the odd eye). You can see the fish and signature which I've painted on a number of prints in the Watercolour Gallery.
